Who is Shree Charani?
Nallapureddy Shree Charani hails from Erramalle village, located in Veerapunayuni Palli mandal of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. Just 20 years old, she is a rising talent in Indian women’s cricket and currently plays domestic cricket for Andhra.
Charani was picked by the Delhi Capitals during the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction for ₹55 lakh, and she featured in two matches for the franchise. She made a mark early in her WPL stint, taking her first wicket against Raghvi Bist and finishing the season with four wickets.
Her journey through domestic cricket includes five ODI appearances so far. She earned her maiden ODI cap during a tri-nation series that featured India, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. In March 2025, she bagged her first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket while playing for India A in the Senior Women’s Multi-day Challenger Trophy, highlighting her potential as a match-winner.
